彼得·谢弗的《皇家太阳猎队》是基于历史材料改写而成。将该剧与《西印度毁灭述略》《印卡王室述评》《秘鲁征服史》这三个重要历史文本参照后发现,谢弗剧作的情节和人物与史实大相径庭。这种改编固然是出于作者主观上对诗意的营造和个人情怀的抒发,但客观上却使剧作脱离了宏大的历史背景,走向了反历史的写作。
Peter Schaefer’s “Royal Suncheat” is based on historical material adapted from. By referring to the three important historical texts, such as “A Brief History of the Destruction of the West Indies”, “Royal Review of the Indo-Chinaic Cards” and “The Conquest of Peru,” it was found that the scenes and figures of the Shafts play are quite different from the historical facts. Although this adaptation is out of the author’s subjective creation of poetry and personal feelings, but objectively, the play has been separated from the grand historical background, to the anti-historical writing.
