延安整风运动中形成了进行马克思主义学习的求知精神、从群众中来到群众中去的群众路线、“不唯上、不唯书、只唯实”的求实精神、批评与自我批评的精神、“推陈出新”的创新精神、领导干部率先垂范的精神等为主要内涵的整风精神。在“三严三实”活动中弘扬整风精神,一是要注重研究党史,加强理论学习;二是要注重调查研究,理论联系实际,做到实事求是;三是要从严治党,规范用权。
