Speech deterioration gradually declines with age, traditionally interpreted as declining auditory sensitivity with age. In recent years, some scholars have suggested that at least part of this decline is due to changes in the central auditory system, rather than changes in the surrounding auditory system. In this paper, the author identifies the hearing and cognitive status of 130 elderly (51-90 years old), analyzes data from a consensus point of hearing and cognitive deficits, accounts for 50% of central auditory processing disorders, and has cognitive deficits Accounted for 41%, however, only 0.63% in the whole sample was consistent in both aspects. 23% of its central hearing function with normal cognitive function
