The effects of the same dose of a drug can be influenced by environmental, genetic, or both, thereby changing the absorption, distribution, excretion of the drug and, most importantly, the metabolism. Drug metabolism as the rate of inactive products decreased, apparently can lead to an increase in the incidence of adverse reactions; the other hand, given the normal dose, the drug metabolism rate but can make the treatment effect is reduced. It is therefore important to identify sensitive individuals in the population so that in the development of the treatment plan it is possible to consider possible changes in drug metabolism.
