对生物治虫人们并不陌生。但大面积运用这种方法,长期存在着一些难于解决的技术问题。近年来,我国科学工作者经过精心研究,在这方面取得了可喜的进展。他们创造了工厂化生产赤眼蜂的方法,使放蜂治虫面积迅速扩大,把生物治虫推向一个新的阶段。那么,赤眼蜂工厂化生产是怎么回事呢?请看影片《赤眼蜂工厂化生产》。影片首先通过显微摄影使我们认识了只有0.5毫米大小的赤眼蜂。这种小蜂把卵产在害虫卵里,吸收其养料,生长发育,使害虫未曾孵化就死在卵壳里。在影片里我们可以清楚地看到表现赤眼蜂在害虫卵内产卵的全部过程这一十分珍贵的镜头。影片指出,赤眼蜂可以在为害玉米、甘蔗、水稻、棉花、蔬菜、果树、松树等上百种害虫的卵上产卵,表明赤眼蜂确实是消灭害虫的“能手”。
