Sometimes, life is dramatic. In July 1986, I arrived in Moscow, the Soviet Union. The first person interviewed was the famous Soviet swimmer Salnikov. The world record for the 800M and 1500M freestyle has always been held by him. Just the day before I arrived in Moscow, he broke the world record of the 800M freestyle he kept at 7:50 on the Cood Well GAMes (friendly games) held here.
