杨家湾原为一汞矿点,在前人工作基础上通过对杨家湾北东向含矿断裂带中部在夜郎组第一段(Tly1)和第二段(Tly2)中系统进行地球化学剖面取样,分析结果表明,仅1件样品T1含量低于100×10-6(YJ15TI含量为56×10-6)外,其余14件(YJ1~YJ14)Tl含量均大于100×10-6,变化于386~960×10-6之间,平均为653×10-6(0.0653%),达到铊矿石工业品位要求,与滥木厂铊(汞)矿床对比,在赋矿地层、控矿构造、围岩蚀变和矿化特征等方面均极相似,成矿条件有利,找矿远景良好,如进一步工作,有可能找到第二个滥木厂式铊矿床。
