休闲钓鱼人的心态和垂钓目的各有不同,称之“职业杀手”者非大鱼或者收获颇丰的对象鱼不钓,主要目的在于“经济效益”;普通钓鱼人不管什么鱼情都想去尝试,目的是多获鱼,当然是钓大鱼越大越刺激;而修身养性一族主攻的却是野生小鱼,追求的同样是垂钓的快乐、健康和钓技的同步,同时也能享受野生小鱼鲜美的口福。随着经济的快速发展,水环境污染的加剧,可供钓鱼人自由垂钓的水域越来越少,有限的一些钓场剩余的大鱼和稍大些的鲫鱼更是稀少。对我辈休闲一族不刻意追求多获大鱼的人来说,小型鱼类就是主要的对象鱼。笔者
