在人类从自然界获取的信息当中,通过视觉获得图象的信息量最大,图象是用文字与符号无法表现的。在最近十年间,应用计算机处理图象的尝试,甚为活跃。首先是大学与研究所开始研究图象处理的。现在,已经应用于各种领域,甚至在我们身边已经有图象处理功能的械器在工作1)~3)。由于图象处理的对象不同,图象处理的方法也就多。其中包括人类直接用眼睛看的黑白图象或彩色图象,直到用红外线、X 射线、超声波等拍摄的人类直接用肉眼看不到的景物图象,其形态各异,种类甚多。应用这种图象信息处理的领域列于表1。
Among the information that mankind has obtained from nature, the information obtained through vision is the most informative and the images can not be expressed with words and symbols. In the last ten years, attempts to use computers to process images have been very active. The first is that universities and institutes begin to study image processing. Now, it has been applied in a variety of fields, even in our side has the image processing capabilities of the device in the work 1) ~ 3). As the image processing of different objects, image processing methods also more. Among them are black and white images or color images which are directly observed by human beings until the images of human beings, which are directly invisible to the naked eye by infrared rays, X-rays, ultrasonic waves and the like, are different in form and variety. The fields to which this image information processing is applied are listed in Table 1.
