当了多年的滑稽戏迷,每每在畅笑之余寻思着:滑稽戏到底姓什么?这一南中国特有的地方性喜剧,非话剧非戏曲非曲艺更非影视、歌舞、漫画,但对姊妹艺术的长处都能随意“拿来”,为我所用,尽情逗笑,十足是剧坛独一的“杂拌儿”。表面看去,它似乎姓“杂”。然而,这次观看了无锡市滑稽剧团的《望夫成龙》,观察了江苏省首届滑稽艺术节那自发而来的观众群,再总体观照一下近年来冷寂剧坛上断断续续却尚温的“滑稽戏热”,总算思味出这一幸运儿受宠的讨俏之处:一是其喜,二是其俗。喜则易于娱众,俗则便于近人。但滑稽界皆可接受这“喜”字,因为本门就是笑的艺术;却至今不大愿认可这“俗”字。恐怕这个汉字多义且滥用的缘故,一不好就落得个庸俗
