大会经包头冶金所、北京有色稀土所、微山稀土矿及上海跃龙厂联合筹办,于1983年11月2～5日在山东微山县召开。各有关工业部、高校及稀土厂矿,共58个单位100名代表参加了会议。会议期间,代表们汇报了近几年来的稀土情报工作。上海跃龙厂提交了题为“情报努力为稀土推广应用服务”的报告,建议将低品位(纯度等于或低于1个“9”)稀土氧化物用于玻璃、陶瓷工业,以大幅度降低稀土的原料价格。上海耀华玻璃厂
The conference was jointly organized by Baotou Metallurgy Institute, Beijing Nonferrous Rare Earths Institute, Weishan Rare Earth Mine and Shanghai Yuelong Plant and held in Weishan County, Shandong Province from November 2 to November 5, 1983.
