开展海外民族志研究标志着新时期中国民族学与人类学的一个新开端,即以全球各区域的民族、社会和文化为研究对象,通过实地调查和理论分析,为中国的社会科学界、政府决策部门以及公众提供关于当今世界的鲜活知识。对当代中国而言,通过海外民族志建构中国人关于世界现实的知识表述,本身就是中国走向世界的必要步骤。2013年6月18日至27日,中央民族大学世界民族学人类学研究中心联合北京大学社会学系、中国社会科学院民族学与人类学研究所、中山大学人类学系、云南大学民族研究院和中国人民大学人类学研究所,共同举办了第二届海外民族志工作坊。本次工作坊历时十天,共招收六十余名来自国内外高校与研究机构的青年学员,二十余位国内外知名学者在工作坊上就海外民族志研究的前景以及如何运用民族志方法探索世界社会等理论问题进行了深入讲解,切实推动了民族志方法在中国社会科学界的普及与运用。本期特辟栏目,分别收录王延中研究员、高丙中教授和阎云翔教授在第二届海外民族志工作坊上的讲话稿,以飨读者。
Carrying out the study of overseas ethnography marks a new beginning of ethnology and anthropology in China in the new era. That is, taking ethnic, social and cultural regions in all regions of the world as the research object, through field survey and theoretical analysis, it provides a platform for Chinese social sciences and government Decision-making departments and the general public to provide fresh knowledge about today’s world. For contemporary China, constructing the Chinese’s knowledge of the reality of the world through overseas ethnography is itself a necessary step toward China. From June 18 to June 27, 2013, the Central University for Nationalities Anthropology Research Center for Ethnology, together with the Peking University Department of Sociology, the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Department of Anthropology, Sun Yat-sen University, the National Institute of Yunnan University and Institute of Anthropology, Renmin University of China, jointly organized the second overseas ethnographic workshop. The workshop lasted for ten days and recruited more than 60 young trainees from domestic and foreign universities and research institutes. Over 20 well-known scholars at home and abroad discussed the prospect of overseas ethnography and how to use ethnographic methods Exploring the world society and other theoretical issues in-depth explanation, and effectively promote the ethnographic methods in the social sciences in China’s popularity and use. In this issue, we have included speeches by Wang Yanzhong, Professor Gao Bingzhong and Professor Yan Yunxiang in the second overseas ethnographic workshop to readers.
