1990年4月18日,党中央、国务院宣布,开发开放浦东。上海市委、市政府及时提出“开发浦东,振兴上海,服务全国,面向世界” 的战略思想。

April 18, 1990, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council announced the development and opening up of Pudong. Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Shanghai Municipal Government timely put forward the strategic thinking of “developing Pudong, rejuvenating Shanghai, serving the whole country and facing the world.”
