在国内英语课堂教学中,课堂沉默是一种常见现象,即便是在高校英语专业生的课堂教学中此现象也不少见。课堂沉默通常被多数老师视作课堂教学的失败,认为是师生双方交流或沟通失败的表现。尤其是在以学生为教学主体的教学中,影响到整体教学效果的课堂沉默是老师最为担心和不满的现象。而格赖斯的合作原则和利奇的礼貌原则则从另外一个角度给教学工作者不同的理解,重新看待课堂教学中的沉默现象。
In domestic English classroom teaching, classroom silence is a common phenomenon, which is not uncommon in classroom teaching of college English majors. Classroom silence is often seen as the failure of classroom teaching by most teachers as a sign of failure in communication or communication between teachers and students.
