This paper discusses the necessity of opening a literature retrieval course in several respects as well as to inject new contents and new teaching methods into the implementation of the curriculum in order to meet the overall goal of training qualified personnel in higher vocational colleges so as to keep the teaching of the curriculum up to the pace of the times .
