伯吉斯,作为作家和作曲家,他大概都不算最出色,不过他写过一篇文章,却广为流传,那文章的题目是《旋律的奥秘》。文章讲的是,作曲家创作源头从来无迹可寻,那些美妙动人的旋律究竟来自何方,谁也说不清楚,这是一个无法破译的谜。读这篇文章时,我就心存疑惑,伯吉斯先生如此看法,究竟是发自肺腑,还是作文的需要?他也许只是说出了一部分实情,有时候美妙的旋律从天而降,如有神助。作曲家可以把这称为灵感,称为上帝的赋予,不少人这样说过。但如果愿意探根寻源的话,那旋律总会有些出处
