本文以作者在酒店管理课程方面的实践为基础,探讨了双语教学中的一个常见问题:如何平衡教学内容与教学语言。本文提出应该改革双语教学模式,以教学内容为中心,努力增加英语授课的时间,只有在必要的时候才使用中文解释。本文还从课程与师资、课程设计、语言使用和学生的引导等四个方面探索了新的双语教学模式。最后,本文提出必须克服教材与学生英语水平等方面的障碍,才能全面提高双语教学质量。
Based on the author’s practice in hotel management courses, this article explores one of the common questions in bilingual teaching: how to balance teaching content and teaching language. This paper proposes that we should reform the bilingual teaching mode, focus on the teaching content, and strive to increase the teaching time in English. The Chinese explanation should be used only when necessary. This article also explores new bilingual teaching modes from four aspects: curriculum and teachers, curriculum design, language usage and student guidance. Finally, this paper proposes that we must overcome obstacles in the teaching materials and English level of students in order to improve the overall quality of bilingual teaching.
