The authors report that the water-soluble protein in the crude extract of mosquitoes binds to the water-repellent membrane and that the anti-P. falciparum circumsporozoite (CS) protein antigen is detected by the monoclonal antibody and the enzyme-labeled secondary antibody. Sporozoite spores were collected from Anopheles stephensi cultured on a membrane feeder gametophyte and serially diluted in 0.01% SDS.
