我厂生产的产品要求高,任务重,但设备少,且精度不高。由于缺少工具磨床,长期来只能用手工进行刃磨,这样磨出刀具的几何形状及光洁度都不符合要求;使用起来吃刀量浅、车速慢、寿命短,且使零件的质量不能保证。许多刀具如滚、铣、铰刀等磨了一、二次就不能继续使用,结果积压了许多“报废”的刀具,耗费了国家大量资金。去年全厂职工从学习毛主席著作“愚公移山”等7篇文章和学大庆、学解放军中得到了很大启发: 检修组同志决心发扬自力更生精神,把这个“老大难”问题解决,经大家讨论:确定以土为主,利用废料,没有经验就向外厂学习,遇到困难群策群力,运用“三结合”方式。经过一个多月的努力,搞成了这台符合多、快、好、省精神的简易磨床,制造费用仅965元。

After more than a month of hard work, it became a simple grinding machine that met the requirements of more, faster, better and more spirited. The manufacturing cost was only 965 yuan.
