1915—2003刘知白,号白云、如莲老人,安徽凤阳人。1933年考入苏州美专国画科,后拜顾颜平为师入住“过云楼”研摹顾氏历代藏画并随乃师造访苏吴名流、藏家。1942年在广西全州与钱十严等共筹书画会社,1948年在全州提出“学时有他无我,化时有我无他”的画学思想,1985年撰文《法守功化》,倡导深入传统、广师造化,进而创新。晚岁构建“散锋墨法”创立“心象山水”。出版有作品集《中国近现代名家画集·刘知白》及研究专著《清气和诗醉墨痕》、《知白守黑》等。
