《正字通》,是对明万历以后成书并大行于世的《字汇》的匡正,也是明末清初社会语言规范的正字工具书,在当时非常流行和受人尊重。而继踵于《康熙字典》的佚名韵书《五音通韵》却多有对《正字通》的批评。由《五音通韵》征引《正字通》诸条目的具体分析,可以探察《五音通韵》时代的语言文字规范意识并了解当时辞书编纂的具体状况,可以帮助我们比较切实地把握清初社会语言状况,亦有助于《五音通韵》研究的深入开展。
“Orthographic” is the rectification of the “vocabulary” of the Ming Dynasty and later of the Ming Dynasty.
