随着世界航运业的发展,为促进中国作为发展中国家与发达国家、与其他英语和非英语国家在航海业的合作与互助,为更准确有效地实施国际海事组织公约而为增强海上安全和减少海洋污染等做贡献,航海英语作为一种交流和沟通的工具起到了不可估量的作用。在功能语言学目的论的观照下,航海英语作为专门用途英语,其翻译有着特有的标准和策略。本文旨在用功能目的论来指导作为信息型文本的航海英语翻译,并对航海英语的翻译要点和策略做了分析,提出了作为专门用途英语的航海英语翻译的标准和策略。
