Objective To observe the curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine decoction combined with western medicine in the treatment of reflux esophagitis and to provide reference and basis for choosing proper treatment plan in clinic. Methods 80 cases of reflux esophagitis patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 40 cases each. The observation group was treated with Chinese medicine decoction combined with western medicine, while the control group was treated with western medicine alone. The treatment was continued for 2 months. After all the treatments are completed, compare the clinical efficacy and endoscopy scores. Followed up for 1 year, observed the recurrence rate of the two groups of patients. Results After treatment, the symptoms were improved in both groups. The total effective rate of the observation group was 92.5%, which was significantly better than that of the control group (75.0%, P <0.05). After receiving 2 months of treatment, the endoscopy scores of the observation group and the control group were (1.24 ± 0.95) points and (1.65 ± 0.58) points, respectively. The observation group patients endoscopy score was significantly better than the control group (P <0.05). The recurrence rates of 37 cases in the observation group were 0,2.70%, 5.41% and 8.11% at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months respectively, while those in the control group were 10.00%, 16.67% and 18.92% , 21.62%. The disease recurrence rate of the control group was significantly higher than that of the observation group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion The clinical efficacy of Chinese medicine decoction combined with western medicine in the treatment of patients with reflux esophagitis is better than that of western medicine alone. It can significantly improve clinical symptoms, signs and gastroscopy results, and can effectively prevent the recurrence of the disease, which is worth popularizing to the clinic among.
