十一届三中全会以解放思想、实事求是,重新确立和发展马克思主义的思想路线,在我党历史上树立起一座丰碑.二十年来,在解放思想的伟大旗帜下,军队认真贯彻邓小平新时期军队建设思想,取得了革命化、现代化、正规化建设的巨大成就,为维护国家安全和社会稳定做出了重大贡献.世纪之交,在世界新的国际格局走向多极化、军事变革正在兴起、国内经济政治体制改革大力推进的新形势下,军队的发展面临新的机遇和挑战,要把军队的建设和改革不断推向新水平,必须进一步解放思想,更新观念.
In order to emancipate the mind and seek truth from facts, the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has re-established and developed the Marxist line of thought and set a milestone in the history of our party.
