内蒙古大学王绍东赠我新著《文化视角下的秦始皇》(内蒙古大学出版社,2015年),细读之余,颇生感触,略抒于下。一、精湛的史实解析。任何历史著述的构架,都是建立在对历史事实考查和解析的基础之上,如若某一时期的重大史事尚未清晰或众说纷纭,那就必须对基本史实作去伪存真的考核。秦始皇的政治活动历程,在史籍的记载中是大致清晰的,分歧主要显现为对这些基本史实的解析,而不同的解析也会导致对于基本史实深度认识的求真效能。
Wang Shaodong of Inner Mongolia University gave me a new book entitled “The First Qin Shi Huang under Cultural Perspective” (Inner Mongolia University Press, 2015). First, exquisite historical facts. The structure of any historical writings is based on the examination and analysis of historical facts. If the major historical events in a certain period have not been clearly defined or divergent opinions exist, then the basic historical facts must be checked for true or false. The history of the political activities of Emperor Qin Shihuang is broadly clear in historical records. Disagreements mainly appear as the analysis of these basic historical facts, and the different analyzes lead to the seeking of the true efficiency of the basic historical facts.
