美国西部首蓿种子田,普遍利用苜蓿切叶蜂授粉。但是,在切叶蜂孵化阶段常受到寄生小蜂的危害。小蜂寄生于蜂房小室中,在切叶蜂的幼蜂出房前,这种寄生小蜂能杀死整个蜂群。科研部门曾采取多种防治手段,如灯光诱捕、蜂巢遮盖和冷贮处理等,但防治效果甚微。

American alfalfa seed fields in the west, common use alfalfa leaf-cutting bee pollination. However, during the hatching stage, leafhoppers are often endangered by parasitic wasps. The small bee is parasitic in the hive chamber and the parasitic wasp kills the entire colony before the bee-eared bee hives out of the room. Scientific research departments have taken a variety of control measures, such as light trapping, hiding and cold storage honeycomb treatment, but control effect is minimal.
