针对美贸易代表办公室近日对中国入世以来未能履行承诺的表态,商务部新闻发言人孙继文表示,中方对此不能认同,希望双方共同努力,为双边经贸关系注入正能量。美国贸易代表办公室在向国会提交的2016年中国履行世贸组织承诺情况报告中,称中国入世已经15年,但中国政府仍未能履行在世贸组织下的承诺。此外,据了解,自中国入世以来,美在世贸组织共起诉中国20次,超过其他世贸组织成员起诉中国次数的2倍。
In response to the U.S. Trade Representative’s office’s unfulfilled promise to China since its accession to the WTO, Sun Jiwen, spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce, said that China can not agree with this and hopes both sides will make joint efforts to inject positive energy into bilateral economic and trade relations. In its report to China on WTO commitments in 2016 submitted by the U.S. Trade Representative Office, China said it has been 15 years since China’s accession to the WTO. However, the Chinese government still fails to fulfill its commitments under the WTO. In addition, it is learned that since China’s accession to the WTO, the United States has sued China 20 times in the WTO, more than twice as many as other WTO members in China.
