1980年初,原水利部和广东省人民政府批准西枝江为我国参加联合国亚太地区台风业务试验流域之一。为加快“西枝江流域雨量水位遥测系统”的建设,广东省水文总站和南京水利水文自动化研究所于同年4月正式签订协议,由南京水利水文自动化研究所负责研制自动测报系统设备。经过双方的共同努力,“系统”于1984年10月投入试运行。
In early 1980, the former Ministry of Water Resources and the Guangdong Provincial People’s Government approved the West Zhijiang for our participation in one of the UN watershed trials in the Asia Pacific region. In order to speed up the construction of the “Remote Sensing System for Rainfall and Water Level in the Xizhijiang River Basin”, the Hydrographic Station of Guangdong Province and the Nanjing Institute of Hydraulic and Hydraulics Automation formally signed an agreement in April of the same year, and the Nanjing Institute of Hydraulic and Hydraulics Automation was responsible for the development of automatic measurement and reporting system equipment. Through the joint efforts of both parties, “System” was put into trial operation in October 1984.
