《新世纪小学数学教材(北师大版)》三年级下册“平均数”一课,没有直接呈现平均数的概念,而是结合学生的生活经验,选择了学生非常熟悉的投篮比赛作素材,创设了“哪一个队的实力强”的问题情境,让学生在解决具体问题的过程之中、在学生的认知冲突之中,引出平均数的概念,体会学习平均数的必要性,学会求平均数及体会平均数在日常生活中的应用。该教材第69页例题是一个非常有趣、现实、丰富,且具有挑战性、开放性、可思性的数学问题。这个例题的思维含金量是很高的。
