The youngest Ph.D. childhood, Emil Fischer did not show any special talent. Born into an industrial home and the only boy among the five children, his father’s expectation was to learn how to manage his business. In 1869, the 17-year-old Fisher graduated from Bonn University’s preparatory class with the first place in the class. Then she was suspended for two years at home because of illness.
