在中国台湾,木薯栽培已有300多年的历史。1975年种植的木薯有332,685亩,占全岛可耕地面积2.2%,是次于水稻、甘薯、甘蔗、花生、玉米、柑桔、大豆和茶的第9种重要作物。木薯大多种在山坡边缘或在无灌溉的平原区。种植1~2年的平均产量为16.3吨/公顷。大约70%的木薯用来制作淀粉,其余30%加工成饲料。台湾种植的木薯是苦种,它的淀粉含量较高,且较少受啮齿动物的损坏。最严重的病害是细菌性疫病(CBB),也叶“流胶
In Taiwan, China, cassava cultivation has a history of more than 300 years. There were 332,685 mu of cassava planted in 1975, accounting for 2.2% of the total arable land in the island. It is the 9th important crop of rice, sweet potato, sugar cane, peanut, corn, orange, soybean and tea. Most of the cassava is on the hillside or in an irrigated plain. The average yield of planting 1-2 years is 16.3 tons / hectare. About 70% of the cassava is used to make starch and the remaining 30% is processed into feed. The cassava grown in Taiwan is bitter, with high starch content and less damage from rodents. The most serious diseases are bacterial blight (CBB), also leaves “gel.”
