2015年6月1日晚,从南京驶往重庆的“东方之星”号旅游客船,在湖北省监利县长江大马洲水域翻沉。事故发生后,党中央、国务院指示不惜一切代价,全力救人,一场举国动员的搜救行动在水面、水下、陆地和空中迅速展开。据救援指挥部发布的信息,经反复核实、逐一确认,“东方之星”号客船上共有454人,其中1 2人获救,442人遇难。
On the evening of June 1, 2015, the passenger ship “Oriental Star” traveling from Nanjing to Chongqing was sunk in the waters of the Chang Jiang River in Jianli County, Hubei Province.
