郑玄的《论语注》成书于其所遭逢的党锢之祸事解之后,是郑玄晚年的重要经注之一。此书盛行六朝隋唐,惟中唐以后逐渐消亡,终遗佚于北宋之时。南宋以后,学者多方辑佚,且自上世纪初起,以迄六七十年代,中国西疆陆续出土二十多种唐写本《论语郑注》残卷。经许多中外事家学者,如月洞让、金谷治、郑静若、王素、陈金木及许建平等人的努力整理复原,今日已大致可以掌握到超过一半以上的郑玄《论语注》内容。本文即尝试利用这些整理复原的郑注材料,来将郑玄在注解《论语》时对孔门师徒关于种种宇宙人生问题所进行的“经注思维”以及所表露出的“经学思想”加以深入的探究,以期能大致勾勒出郑玄在《论语注》中所展露出的思想内涵与义理风貌。
