中山医科大学肿瘤防治中心在改革旧的医疗科研管理体制、建立新的管理体制方面大胆探索,进行了很多有益的尝试,例如,建立的“单病种首席专家制”突破了以往科研医疗管理的旧框框,尝试着迈出了一条新路子。另外,在用人制度的改革上,也部分地采用了相当灵活的人才招聘制,解决了一些学科因专业技术人才不足而无法开展新项目、新技术的矛盾,加强了医疗、科研队伍的整体实力,大大地促进了医疗、科研水平的提高。 “单病种首席专家制”是由每个肿瘤单病种推出一位首席专家,再由相应的具有高级职称的专家数名(包括外科,化疗,介入治疗,基础研究等)组成核心小组,并有相应的主治医生和研究生(包括硕士、博士、博士后)为研究梯队进行的医疗和科研的管理制度。首席专家负责统筹肿瘤
