板栗雌花偏少、雄花过多的主要原因是雌花较雄花分化时需要更多的磷素营养,罗田板栗产区普遍缺磷,难以满足需要;同时雌花分化时期又是在雄花分化已基本完成之后,雄花分化后的剩余营养才被用于雌花分化,因而土壤愈瘠薄,树体贮藏营养愈少,则雌花分化常愈少,难以获得板栗丰产。为了提高板栗产量,我们于1986年开始,采取增施磷肥和结合修剪等措施,进行了板栗减雄增雌研究,初步取得了明显效果。
