According to the “Notice of the General Office of the State Council on Pilot Reform of National Education System” and the relevant documents of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, in 2010 Nanjing Municipality undertook the reform of the state education system for “promoting the innovation and development of quality education with the diversification of ordinary senior high schools” Pilot mission. Subsequently, the Nanjing Municipal Government issued a circular on launching the diversification project of high school as the only pilot area in the sub-provincial cities in the country. In the past two years, the diversification of high schools in Nanjing has gained a clearer understanding at the theoretical level.
