21世纪是知识经济的时代。知识经济时代的显著特点就是经济的全球化和知识化。为了迎接和适应知识经济时代,我们要把注意力放在提高全民族的科学文化素质上,放在高素质的人才培养上,尤其要放在知识创新能力领导干部的选拔任用上。领导知识经济,我们的领导干部没有知识创新能力就完成不了历史赋予的使命。因此,选拔任用具有知识创新能力的领导干部是摆在我们当前和今后相当长一段时期内的一项重要任务,从现在起就必须抓紧抓好,取得明显的成效。
The 21st century is the era of knowledge economy. The remarkable feature of the era of knowledge economy is the globalization and knowledge-based economy. In order to meet and adapt to the era of knowledge-based economy, we should focus on raising the scientific and cultural qualities of the entire nation and cultivating qualified personnel. In particular, we should place emphasis on the selection and appointment of leading cadres in knowledge-innovation ability. To lead a knowledge-based economy, our leading cadres can not accomplish the mission entrusted by history without knowledge innovation ability. Therefore, selecting and appointing leading cadres capable of knowledge innovation is an important task that we have been posing for a long period of time now and in the future. From now on, we must make every effort to achieve obvious results.
