“Tianjianjian, a gentleman to self-improvement” is the motto of Chinese elite men since ancient times, but also the traditional society of their external requirements. However, today, thousands of years later, the definition of a “gentleman” that simply emphasizes struggle and personality cultivation can no longer cover the understanding and cognition of life and self of Chinese elites. Mission Hills Golf Club recently advocated the 2006 “new gentleman life” is to seek to give the “gentleman” a new connotation: They seek success and enjoy life, they know how to live the world, but also toward the wonderful world of man and nature. For this appeal, golf is recognized as the best “gentleman’s movement” is undoubtedly the best carrier, and as the top golf club in China, Mission Hills membership will become a shortcut to an aspiring lifestyle.
