They have become part of that place. When we don’t see them, we lose something. We don’t open our eyes to the world around us. But somehow, we always turn a blind eye to certain common things until those things suddenly disappear. We discovered that they used to exist. The well-dressed lady I see on the way to work every morning is an example of this. For more than three years, it has been rain or shine. Every morning around 8 o’clock, she always waits at the public station. On snowy days she wore thick leather boots and a woolen scarf. Summer came and she put on a tidy, gauzy dress and a hat to cover her glasses. At a glance, she knew that she was a professional woman with a stable and trustable temperament. Of course, it was all after I saw her again.
