After nearly 20 years of research, scientists have recently found important clues to unravel the medical mystery of the cancer-prone family. For the first time, here is an undeniable conclusion: Cancer is indeed genetic. Dr. Frederick Lee from the Danfoss-Fernbo Institute for Cancer Research in Boston, United States, has been in 1968 for a group of special families—many members of his family and their family members had breast cancer, brain cancer or Lung cancer. By the end of 1990, Dr. Li and scientists of other countries in the world had focused on nearly 100 such families. Dr. Li recently concluded that these family members carry oncogenes.
