对外汉语教学多年来一向是汉学的附庸,是为汉学研究服务的,缺乏自身的学术价值。但近年来,学习汉语的外国人,学习动机有了很大的转变,他们学习汉语的目的不再是研究古代中国,而是为了适应工作上的需要。中文终于走出了“稀奇古怪”和“无人问津”的形象,而成了一个有实用价值的工作语言。对外汉语教学也渐渐有由“附庸”而成为“大国”的趋势。在这个转变中,体现了汉语汉字现代化和国际化的过程。
Teaching Chinese as a foreign language has been a vassal of sinology for many years and serves for the study of sinology. It lacks of its own academic value. However, in recent years, foreigners who study Chinese have changed their motivation greatly. Their purpose of learning Chinese is no longer to study ancient China but to meet their needs at work. Chinese has finally come out of the “strange ” and “nobody cares about ” image, which has become a working language with practical value. Teaching of Chinese as a foreign language has gradually become a trend of “big powers” from “dependency ”. In this transformation, it embodies the process of modernization and internationalization of Chinese characters.
