It is now known that at least two IL-2 binding peptides are present. Namely P55Tac peptide and P75 peptide. The two peptides, if present alone, exhibit only a low-affinity IL-2 receptor, which appears as a high-affinity IL-2 receptor when these two peptides are linked to each other to form a receptor complex. Most of the T cell surface IL-2 receptors appear as a multi-chain receptor complex, and the nature of IL-2 receptors on the surface of large granulocyte lymphocytes (LGL) that respond to IL-2 is unclear . The author in this article has carried on the research to this question.
