在平行线路,环形线路或更复杂的多电源电网中,由于某点短路,线路的首端、终端都可能成为电源向短路点供电。因此,在该电网中输电线路的首端和终端均应装设保护;但在单侧电源放射电网中,某点短路时,只从线路的首端向短路点供电。因此,在该类电网中输电线路的保护,一般情况下只在其首端装设就可以了.这是输电线路保护装设基本原则之一。此原则对放射输电线路尤为重要,因为它既能满足安全技术方面的要求,又减少经济方面的投资和损失,对煤矿有其特殊重要意义。尤其是对煤矿6kV输电线路的保护装设更是如此。这是因为:1)煤矿6kV输电线路约有90%是属单侧电源放射类型的(其余的一般为单侧电源平行或环形线路)。2)煤矿6kV输电线路采用的保护
