One of the “even walnuts”, originally appearing in “New Materia Medica (Tang Materia Medica),” is synonymous with Centella asiatica (present-day Umbelliferae and Centella species). Most ancient Herbal works and many modern documents are not called Huoxue Dan as “even money grass.” Known as “Lian Qian Cao”, Huoxue Dan stems from the textual criticism of Xiaoyilan Mountain, a modern Japanese scholar, and modern scholars have corrected its mistakes. Among medicinal herbs, many people with “Lianxiancao” as their anomaly can easily cause chaos with “Lianxiancao” as their medicinal material. In view of the above reasons, the 1995 edition of the “Chinese Pharmacopoeia” will Huoxue Dan to “even money grass” medicine name collection is wrong, to be “Jiangsu money grass” is appropriate
