鞍钢科学技术协会自1979年4月成立以来,在省、市科协的指导和大力支持下,在鞍钢党委的领导下,为贯彻党中央关于调整、改革、整顿、提高的方针,结合鞍钢老企业挖潜、革新、改造,加速实现钢铁生产现代化,广泛深入地开展了科技普及工作,收到了可喜的成果。据不完全统计,到1979年底鞍钢科协放映科教电影118场,观众达十一万人。其中下厂(矿)巡回放映46场,观众达四万二千七百多人;
