楠竹地下鞭根系统(地下茎)既是养份贮藏和输导的主要器官,同时具有强大的分生繁殖能力,是竹林扩展的基础。为了掌握其生长发育的特性,我们从1976年至1981年在仁怀县中枢楠竹实生造林试验林中选择有代表性的20条鞭系,每年从五月竹鞭开始生长起至十一月生长停止止,定期七天观测一次其生长量。竹林郁闭后即第五年,选择其中三丛竹林,全部掘出暴露,测定其各龄竹鞭生长量(粗度、长度)、鞭芽数(活芽、死芽)等因子,并绘出生长水平分布图。现将五年的观测资料综合分析结果如下。
