在批林批孔运动中,扎下公社银山大队党支部,坚持以党的基本路线为纲,紧密配合“农业学大寨”运动,积极开展了以“两管五改”(管水、管粪,改水井、改炉灶、改畜圈、改厕所、改环境)为中心的爱国卫生运动。到目前为止,全大队迁建猪圈四百五十座,新建厕所三百一十座,新打卫生小口井一百四十五眼,改灶二百一十台,新修道路三百八十条,填污水塘四百八十多个,去冬以来植树八千余株,卫生面貌发生了深刻的变化。
