石油化工企业生产、储存的原料、产品、中间品等,大多具有易燃、易爆、易腐蚀等特性,工艺过程又往往具有高温、高压的特点,容易引发火灾爆炸事故。应对石油化工企业火灾事故,应遵循必要的扑救原则。石油化工火灾燃烧速度快,爆炸危险性大,易形成立体火灾,造成重大污染。如吉林石化2005年发生的“11·13”火灾,先后发生15次爆炸,事故造成8人死亡,1人重伤,59人
