左旋咪唑(Levomisole)为目前临床应用的驱虫药——四咪唑的左旋体,是一种广谱的驱虫药物。对钩虫、蛔虫、蛲虫等人体寄生虫均有不同程度的驱虫效果。左旋咪唑的活性为四咪唑(消旋体)的两倍,为右旋体的数倍。大白鼠的半致死量,左旋体、右旋体与消旋体大致相同,其口服量为480毫克,因此这是一种比较安全的驱虫药。1969年国外已用于临床。其驱虫效果:左旋咪唑为80%。而其他驱虫药如灭虫宁为62%、
