河北省武安市贺进镇原名继城镇。抗日战争时期,贺进镇是八路军一二九师陈赓旅驻地,西部深山区还驻扎着八路军总部等重要机关,是太行根据地的东大门。1944年,太行抗日民主根据地继城区区长贺进在反击日寇扫荡中牺牲,继城镇改名为贺进镇,以示纪念。抗战时期,贺进镇参军参战200多人,为国捐躯53人。解放战争中,贺进儿女也作出了突出贡献。
Hejin, Wu’an City, Hebei Province, formerly known as town after the town. During the war of liberation, He Jin’s children also made outstanding contributions.
